What is Included in the Ford Warranty?

Ford Protect Extended Service Plans

Colonie drivers have four available Ford Protect Extended Service Plans, each one increasing in price and covering more components of your Ford sedan, SUV, or truck. 

• PowertrainCARE: This plan covers 29 components of your Ford. This includes components within the engine, transmission, RWD, and FWD. Some components within these systems aren’t covered — but the essential ones are. For example, the engine’s coverage doesn’t extend to the radiator, and the drivetrain’s coverage doesn’t extend to the bearings. 
• BaseCARE: This plan covers 84 components. Coverage includes the same components as the PowertrainCARE plan, as well as A/C and heating, electrical components, front suspension, steering, and brakes. Certain aspects aren’t covered, such as the anti-lock brake module. 
• ExtraCARE: This plan covers 113 components, including everything you’ve seen in the above plans. In addition, it includes coverage for your tech and convenience features. Extras like keyless entry and power window motors are covered, but certain features like Ford SYNC® and rain-sensing wipers aren’t. 
• PremiumCARE: The PremiumCARE plan covers over 1,000 components of your Ford car. Anything not covered in the plans above is covered under this one. Enjoy ultimate protection with this comprehensive plan! 

Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan

When your 5-year/60,000-mile Ford Powertrain Warranty expires, you don’t have to stress. With the Premium Maintenance Plan, you’ll have coverage for oil changes and filter replacements, multi-point inspections, and tire inspections/rotations. This plan makes it easier and more affordable to address routine maintenance, as that’s what will help keep your vehicle running at peak performance for years to come.
