In 2019, the 2.5-liter I-4 engine with its 170 lb-ft torque and 168 horsepower, is still the standard engine for the S trim. Other trim levels like the SE and SEL house a 1.5-liter EcoBoost I-4 engine with 177 lb-ft torque and 179 horsepower, drawing mileage at 23/30 in the city/highway. The premium Titanium trim level vehicle has a more powerful 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, boasting of 275 lb-ft torque and 245 horsepower. The car comes with a 6-speed shift-able automatic gear in both its front-wheel and all-wheel drive variants.

The 2019 Ford Escape is a small and highly-versatile vehicle, having the large cargo space that SUVs are famed for.
